Growing Grit is Chaos

Things have been quiet on the Growing Grit front.

To be honest with you, this isn’t what I planned for and I am finding out that I didn’t exactly plan well for the chaotic season my family and I are in.

But that’s part of growing grit, right?

Learning from chaos.

Things happen, priorities get shifted and you have to pivot.

Here’s what the last 2 weeks has looked like for our family:

  • My wife and kids traveled to DC to visit family.

  • Our kids took part in a “cousins camp” with her grandparents and cousins.

  • One of my wife’s sisters had her baby 8 weeks early.

  • My wife and I took our two children with dwarfism to visit a bone specialist in Delaware.

  • That specialist performed surgery on our daughter while our boys remained in DC with grandparents.

I am tired just typing that out.

(Our daughter has a long road of recovery ahead of her, but she’s doing great!)

Through this crazy season, I’ve been learning how to manage priorities and plan ahead better.

That’s all part of the process.

Taking action leads to failing fast.
Failing fast leads to learning.
Learning leads to growth.
